Purpose:
This college is a private coeducational interdenominational Christian College dedicated to providing the following degrees of higher learning:
- Associates of Biblical Studies
- Bachelors of Biblical Studies
- Masters of Theology
- Doctor of Theology
The purpose of Gateway Christian College is to provide an excellent education in the pursuit of achieving undergraduate and graduate degrees. To achieve this end Gateway Christian College strives to recruit and retain qualified faculty and staff members who embrace the ethical and moral values found in Judeo-Christian tradition who are strongly committed to teaching an achievement and who demonstrate integrity through dedication and personal commitment.
To achieve its purpose, the college seeks to offer integrated education so that they will become aware of traditional and cultures that have shaped societies. We will also strive to develop and expand their ability to think critically and independently, also to know and understand their own place and role in the larger world community. This college will inspire students to commit themselves to God, and serve their communities.
Statement of Beliefs:
We believe that the Old Testament and New Testament is inspired by God and reveals His will for the Salvation of the world (John 3:16). We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, Holy Spirit, externally co-existing personalities of the same essence of one God.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, God himself manifested in the flesh. He is the Word made flesh conceived by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary.
We believe that Jesus died as a Substitutionary Sacrifice and all who accept Him as Savior and Lord are justified by His blood. He arose from the dead and is now seated on the right hand of the Father as our High Priest making intercession for us, the Church, the Body of Christ.
We believe that man and woman were created originally in the image of God, but fell through disobedience. Through Adam's sin, mankind inherited a sin nature (Genesis 3:15). Jesus Christ being our Savior from sin through His sacrifice on the cross (Isaiah 53:5).
We believe in sanctification as a setting apart of the believer and the infilling or Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We believe that local churches are the body of Christ or the Church of Christ. The believers are the Church, the Ecclesia, the called out ones.
We believe that there will be a bodily resurrection and judgment of the just and the unjust.
